CDF at McCoy's Action Karate incorporates a combination of
techniques found in several effective disciplines: Karate, Kickboxing, Submission
Grappling, Kali, JuJitsu and others to provide students with a realistic personal protection
system for a modern world.
Karate
Karate is a traditional martial art that teaches striking and blocking with
the least amount of motion and the maximum amount of power. Karate is first
a Self Defense, and requires self discipline and personal growth to achieve
skill.
Kickboxing
Our Kickboxing techniques are taught at 3 different levels, starting with
basic technical application in CDF Kickboxing all the way through the
testing of these techniques against someone else fighting back. Kickboxing
is where theory meets the mat.
Kali
& JuJitsu
In the modern world we are not often attacked on horse back or with a bow
and arrow. Knives, guns, clubs and skilled fighters however are everywhere.
We borrow the techniques of Kali & JuJitsu to develop safety against the weapons we
might face today.
Grappling and Ground
Fighting
Grappling teaches our students how to defend against an attacker who takes
them to the ground, and how to get back to their feet. We also teach how to
use and defend against chokes, arm bars and joke locks.
We have designed a system of Self Defense that can truly
be called mixed martial arts. We borrow the best of many arts, combine them so
that you can reach your Fitness,
Conditioning, and
Personal Safety Goals in once
unique program taught by the areas most experienced Martial Arts Instructors.
